Stepping into the Digital Visual World: A Deeper Dive into Photoshop

Join us at the Alliance for the Arts and take a semi-deep dive into some Adobe products. This month, we’ll take a deeper look into Adobe Photoshop.

The course will be in two parts. The first session will cover the interfaces and basic tools. The second course will get into more advanced tools and features. Throughout the course, there will also be a focus on Best Practices when it comes to getting the most out of these apps.

When it comes to image editing, Adobe Photoshop is found on most photographers’ computers or tablets.

You’ll learn how to edit a photo using image adjustments and filters. Learn the benefit of using Adjustment layers and how to mask out the areas you want left untouched. You’ll also get a chance to see how to get rid of unwanted portions of your image and use generative fills that will make it look like that portion of your picture was never there.

Photoshop can also be a powerful tool for digital art with its paint brush and airbrush tools.

Working in tandem with Illustrator, you will see how using Photoshop can enhance your Illustrator vector art.
