With the ghosts of cinema past leading his way, cinephile and filmmaker David Redmon set off on a seemingly quixotic quest to find a legendary lost video collection of 55,000 movies in Sicily.

New York City cinephiles had access to a treasure trove of rare and esoteric films through Kim’s Video for two decades. An entangled mesh of media, 1990 zips to 2019, something forgotten, something found, stories made up, stories shared, Kim’s Video unearths the bizarre story of New York’s beloved Kim’s Video collection of 55,000 rental titles.

Popcorn and light refreshments will be available for purchase.

Doors open at 5:30, film begins at 6:00 pm. Following the screening, an intimate Q&A session will be held with one of the film producers and a special guest moderator.
