Beach Parking on Sanibel Island
Sanibel Island has updated their beach parking to a mobile-only payment system. Due to damage from Hurricane Ian in 2022, they have removed all of the pay stations on City of Sanibel beaches that once accepted credit card payments and cash. Upon arriving at a Sanibel beach, you will notice signs around the parking lot with specific instructions on how to pay on your mobile device. The mobile process is easy and can be completed in three steps.
- Text the specific number found on the sign posted in the parking lot or scan the QR code and click the link.
- Enter your license plate, the amount of time, and your credit card information.
- Confirm zip code and click "Pay".
If you have a City of Sanibel Beach Parking Permit or a Lee County Parking Sticker (only valid at Bowman's Beach). you do not need to complete these steps. Just be sure that your permit is valid at the beach you are visiting.
