Acrylic: Big Skies Large Canvas – Julie Tibus

Level: Basic knowledge helpful, but beginners welcome

Are you interested in learning how to paint stunning landscapes with dynamic clouds and big horizons? This two-day class is the perfect opportunity to do so! You’ll be working on a large 26″ x 26″ canvas and will begin by underpainting the entire canvas in orange to create a cohesive base. We’ll then sketch out the composition before practicing basic blending techniques and cloud shapes. Using the same palette, you’ll learn how to mix colors and apply them to create a vibrant sky. Finally, we’ll finish by creating the foreground with color drips, palette knife blending, and oil pastels, to produce a beautiful foreground. Our experienced instructor, Julie, will guide you through each step of the process, providing demonstrations, coaching, and classroom time.
