Hailey Steele performs in Songs from the Sofa virtual concert series Feb. 17
What: The Lee County Visitor & Convention Bureau (VCB), iHeartMedia and Cat Country 107.1 welcome Hailey Steele to the Songs from the Sofa virtual concert series. The livestream event, hosted by Miriam Dotson, VCB communications manager, will feature Steele’s music, interviews and stories behind the songs.
Who: Hailey Steele, BMI singer-songwriter who recently opened for country legend Willie Nelson and toured with Kelsea Ballerini, Little Big Town, Will Hoge and Stephen Kellog. Before she was 15, Steele shared the stage with Willie Nelson and Loretta Lynn. Her first solo single, “Where I Thought I’d Be,” was featured on CMT as part of the Artist Discovery Program. The music video for her newest release, “Raggedy Ann,” is the current Next Up Now feature on CMT.

Why: Songs from the Sofa features singer-songwriters who will be performing at Island Hopper Songwriter Fest, Sept. 16-25, on Captiva Island, historic downtown Fort Myers and Fort Myers Beach. For now, Songs from the Sofa and Songs from the Sand give music fans an exciting and safe way to experience a quality performance in your own home.
Background: Songs from the Sofa debuted in May 2020 with music sensation Sam James. The monthly live performances have included Jay Allen, Maia Sharp, Dave Pahanish, Ben Allen, Clint Daniels, Parmalee, Danny Myrick, Bridget Tatum, Hannah Ellis, Julia Cole, Ruthie Collins and Kristen Kelly. All performances are archived on the Island Hopper Songwriter Fest Instagram page.
Songs from the Sand debuted in February 2021 with local favorite and Island Hopper alum Sheena Brook at the Pink Shell Beach Resort & Marina on Fort Myers Beach. In May, Devin Dawson performed at DiamondHead Beach Resort. Sheena Brook made another appearance with Angie K at Pinchers at The Marina at Edison Ford in August. Songs from the Sand gives music lovers a chance to see the beautiful beaches and surrounding areas of Southwest Florida.
