Up for the Challenge? Explore Fort Myers - Islands, Beaches and Neighborhoods with new Discovery app

LEE COUNTY, Fla. – Fort Myers’ Islands, Beaches and Neighborhoods has launched the new Fort Myers Discovery Challenge app which gives visitors a unique way to discover arts, historic and nature attractions throughout Southwest Florida. 

The free mobile challenge app includes about 100 attractions in the Fort Myers area, some offering discounts on admission and exclusive deals to challenge participants.

Simply follow the directions at visitfortmyers.com/challenge to download the challenge app to any mobile device. 

The challenge app can be used to check-in at participating locations to earn points toward a variety of prizes, including:
• Fort Myers Tervis Tumbler (15 check-ins)
• Fort Myers specialty T-shirt (30 check-ins)
• A chance to be entered into a drawing for a stay at the Luminary Hotel & Co. in downtown Fort Myers (50 check-ins).

“From inspiring art galleries and breathtaking nature preserves to varied historic sites, there is so much to discover in our area,” said Tamara Pigott, VCB executive director. “Both longtime locals and first-time visitors can participate in this challenge and discover all the hidden gems Lee County has to offer.”

Among the 100 locations in Lee County, Florida:
• Bailey-Matthews National Shell Museum, Sanibel Island
• Edison and Ford Winter Estates, Fort Myers
• Four Mile Cove Ecological Preserve, Cape Coral
• Fort Myers Beach Art Association & Gallery, Fort Myers Beach
• Gasparilla Island Lighthouse, Boca Grande
• J.N. “Ding” Darling National Wildlife Refuge, Sanibel Island
• Koreshan State Park, Estero

The challenge ends Dec. 20, 2022.
