Golfing Lake Solo Travel

Estero’s Stoneybrook Golf Club has one of the longest golf courses in Southwest Florida, where wide fairways wind through preserves and past sparkling lakes. It’s one of the few in the country to be certified as “beginner friendly” while still appealing to all levels. Play a round, take a lesson or refine your skills in a golf boot camp.

Surrounded by lush subtropical landscapes, Shell Point Golf Club’s course is tucked within a private Fort Myers community and open to the public. Close to the Sanibel Causeway, this Audubon-certified, par-71 championship course was designed by Gordon Lewis — the mastermind behind 80-plus courses throughout Southwest Florida.

Take advantage of the extensive practice facilities or go for a full round of golf at Coral Oaks Golf Course in Cape Coral. Designed by architect Arthur Hill, Coral Oaks was built in a century-old oak hammock and features eight lakes on the par-72 course.

On 144 acres of protected terrain, this brand-new course has little developments and no formal bunkers. As a semi-private facility, nine holes are currently open with a new 18-hole public course scheduled to open later this year.
